Experience
I thoroughly enjoy working with students to reach their full potential. I started tutoring in high school for an extracurricular activity and fell in love with the satisfaction the children made as they saw improvements in their work. I engage the student in a friendly but serious atmosphere and use encouragement and helpful strategies to keep the attention of the student. My mother is a special education teacher and we have tutored several students together over the past few years so I could learn techniques and skills to further my abilities as a tutor. Previous tutoring experience: Regents tutoring English & Psychology tutoring for high school All subject matter tutoring for middle school and elementary students for 2 years.

Hobbies
I am involved with many things at the SUNY Geneseo campus. I am the head of community service for my national sorority, Sigma Delta Tau. I also participate in multiple clubs including: psychology club, sociology club and Deaf Awareness club. I am a dancer in Slainte Irish Dance club and am an attendant for the Geneseo First Response crew. Two things I am extremely passionate about are children's hospitals and our service men and women. I volunteered for a children's hospital near my hometown for several years. I also organize care package drives for military men and women overseas! These two things are very close to my heart and certainly help to define who I am as a person.
