Experience
I tutored students in various subjects when I was in high school during my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. These students were in middle school. I also tutored other students in biology and genetics in college for one year. I taught freshman biology lab for one year (fall 2010 and spring 2011), which included making lesson plans, leading class discussion, and helping students with any challenges they faced. I also graded lab reports, quizzes, and other various assignments. I want to be that person that can help a student understand something they are struggling with and be a mentor for that student. Classes I have taken in the science area include: general biology 1 and 2, genetics, ecology, cell biology, cellular neurobiology, human anatomy, immunology, and human physiology. Classes I have taken in the psychology area include: introductory psychology, child development, abnormal psychology, health psychology, and behavioral statistics. I have taken pre-calculus, calculus 1 and 2, and statistics as well.

Hobbies
I love to sing; I've been in a acappella group at Geneseo for three years and I am currently the Vice President. I also arrange music for our group and organize our events. I'm an active member of the biology club. I volunteer at Strong Memorial Hospital in the pediatrics unit; I volunteer once a week and play with the kids to help them feel a little bit better. I love reading books when I'm not in school, and I also enjoy photography.
