I thoroughly enjoy working with students to reach their full potential. I started tutoring in high school for an extracurricular activity and fell in love with the satisfaction the children made as they saw improvements in their work. I engage the student in a friendly but serious atmosphere and use encouragement and helpful strategies to keep the attention of the student. My mother is a special education teacher and we have tutored several students together over the past few years so I could learn techniques and skills to further my abilities as a tutor. Previous tutoring experience: Regents tutoring English & Psychology tutoring for high school All subject matter tutoring for middle school and elementary students for 2 years.
